Because of our location and the environment at Mt. Nicholas Station, Red Stag, Fallow and Wapiti are only minutes away from the lodge which ensures maximum hunting time. Mt Nicholas has probably the best free ranging herds of Fallow Deer in New Zealand and over the years has produced some outstanding world class trophies. It also has an excellent base herd of both Free Range Red Deer & Chamois. For Tahr & Chamois hunts, renowned and highly experienced helicopter pilot Richard “Hannibal" Hayes is available. His hunting skill and knowledge will get you rapidly into the home territory of the animals, taking you into a region of New Zealand that few would ever see. Water fowl hunting is also available and turkey & pheasant hunts can also be included.
